U.S. baby boomers (born between 1946 and 1964) account for approximately “52 percent of total U.S. household net worth.” They “own roughly 41 percent of all U.S. real estate assets,” which translates to “nearly $19 trillion worth of property.” As they age, boomers are “poised to reshape large parts of the U.S. economy in the coming years as their enormous wealth and changing needs redirect spending toward health care, housing, financial services and premium experiences.”

“America’s spendthrift relationship with electric vehicles has lost some spark. It will take new generations of products to rekindle the romance on tighter budgets…. Whether or not adoption of EVs in the U.S. is actually stalling—the jury is out—it is clearly weaker than manufacturers were anticipating.” Average prices of EVs fell to “about $52,000 in October, down from around $65,000 a year ago” with U.S. sales levelling out at “around the 100,000-a-month mark.”
