But few expected poor countries to be at the mercy of donations from the rich, or that the inequity would be bad for so long. Poor countries have vaccinated 1% of their population, compared with 55% in the U.S. and about 25% globally.”

AT&T, the biggest company spender in the last election cycle… is suspending political donations to Republican lawmakers who objected without evidence to the November presidential election, in which Joe Biden defeated Donald Trump. Others, like JPMorgan, paused their giving altogether to reassess their strategy.”
